Let's create a colorful, vibrant environment for your baby!
We can't imagine a baby's environment as a dull, neutral environment. We instinctively feel and know that little ones fundamentally need a colorful space, because that's where they can develop optimally.
Colors affect their visual development, attention, concentration, and cognitive functions (cognitive and thinking activities). They can influence their emotions. They motivate and inspire them, arouse their curiosity, and set them on a journey of discovery.

The colorful environment helps their senses cooperate by learning how to process the stimuli - sounds, touch - that arrive at the same time as the sight.
Therefore, it is important to ensure that when these important developmental stages occur, we provide them with a space rich in color.
The development of color vision in newborns
Newborns mainly perceive shades of gray. Their attention is mostly directed towards light and contrasting objects even at 2 months of age. So at this time, light-dark contrasts still play a major role.
Babies first start to perceive red, and then the others. This develops slowly and gradually, so we shouldn't think of the process as them recognizing a new color every week. During this period, they are still mainly observing movement and light sources.
Between 2 and 4 months of age, during the “hand-gazing” period – when they discover their own hands and observe their movements – they begin to practice changing focus quickly and accurately. They can now see more sharply and in greater detail. At this point, in addition to contrasting objects, colorful objects and sights in the baby’s environment are very useful.
Around the age of 4 and 6 months, babies feel like they are in an increasingly colorful world, because they can see colors more and more separately. By the age of 5 months, they can see most colors. When they hold an object, they can look at it up close. At the age of 8-9 months, they can already visually inspect the closest objects around them even while sitting, and they enjoy looking at and poking at the materials and patterns of the clothes they are wearing.
Since the process of color recognition and color vision development is different for every baby, we can help by surrounding them with toys in stronger shades. Bright tones have a more stimulating effect on them than dull, pale pastels.

Why don't babies perceive colors immediately?
Because of the two opposing receptors – rods and cones – the rod receptors are present from birth, responsible for black and white shades and vision in dim light. The cone receptors develop a little later, gradually, bringing the joy of color perception into children's lives.
We can best help them with this developmental process by providing them with a colorful, vibrant environment.

How does the use of colors help development?
Babies learn through stimulation. So they need a stimulating environment for their development to progress properly. While initially the contrasting, black and white color scheme is what captures their attention the most and provides the stimulus they can understand, a little later, around the age of 4 months, colors increasingly take on the main role.
The ability to see color can only develop properly if babies are given the opportunity to perceive the varied shades, which they otherwise find great joy in.
Bright, contrasting objects are eye-catching and make babies want to take action. I want to touch them, hold them, experience them. This motivating force is very strong and helps to keep development going at the right pace.

Make your baby's environment colorful!
Even if we don't know about the importance of colors, their developmental and mood effects, we still know that the most ideal environment for children is one in which they are surrounded by bright colors. For example, when a baby has to spend a long time in the hospital, their parents try to liven up the room, which is poor in visual stimuli, with toys, accessories, and clothes in striking shades.
A colorful environment increases babies' interest and curiosity . Vibrant toys stand out from the background and promise to be exciting.
Colors help children discover and learn about the world. They also help older children connect colors with the shapes they are associated with, and thus recognize things. A good example of this is when they notice a familiar shape on the pages of a book, or on a wall picture, or in the pattern of their blanket or clothing.
Colors as mood elements

Colors not only give us an aesthetic experience, but also have an emotional impact on us . We all know the positive effects of bright colors. We often consciously choose loud shades for our child's first birthday party decorations, but we also like to cheer ourselves up with some colorful clothes.
Colors, as visual elements, help to create a good mood for babies with their stimulating effect. They are striking, they attract their attention and curiosity. They also have mood effects individually. Just think of the soothing light blue or the energizing yellow.
The color scheme of LiaaBébé baby clothes
When designing our LiaaBébé baby clothes, we chose a material that will attract babies' attention with its beautiful bright colors and charming patterns. At first, they will look at the clothes on their hands and feet, and later, when they are sitting, they can explore the familiar motifs even more.
In contrast to pale and pastel tones, we mainly play with bright shades because we want babies to be able to wear the colors they like best. The most beautiful, intense shades.

Children around the age of one – especially girls – are already actively interested in what kind of clothes they will be dressed in. They can be very happy with the beautiful colors and patterns. In fact, many of them can even choose and decide for themselves what they want to wear that day.
It's not just children who are paying attention to the beautiful grass green Dinosaur Bodysuit , the unique marigold yellow Zippered Jumpsuit and the turquoise Dinosaur Toddler Sleeping Bag . Parents also love these designs, and we're happy to hear from them:
"It's been almost a year since I've had to buy a romper or bodysuit due to a size change, just because I liked a new collection. You can never wear them out, great material, wonderful colors, and super comfortable clothes!!"
“My husband raved about the material and he really likes the patterns.”
Parents choose baby clothes based on their own tastes, so it is a special pleasure for them when they find a product whose quality and appearance are reliable and predictable.
Dressing up girls and boys
While the previous generation typically used girly and boyish clothes to dress their children in terms of colors, today this approach has changed a lot. We also like universally wearable shades . It is no longer just the primary colors – red, yellow, blue – and the secondary colors – orange, green, purple - It is used in the production of textiles. There are countless amazingly beautiful shades – just think of the turquoise, dark green, pink, French blue, marigold yellow shades we have here – the possibilities are endless.
