Refund and Returns Policy
Below, we set out the refund and return conditions in accordance with Section 7 of the General Terms and Conditions.
Right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal applies to every consumer pursuant to Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.). For hygiene reasons, our products are packaged in transparent bags; therefore, refunds are conditional upon the product being returned in undamaged packaging.
Refund conditions
After receiving the returned product, we will inspect its condition to determine whether any reduction in value has occurred. If the product is undamaged, the full purchase price will be refunded. If the product is returned damaged or incomplete, the seller is entitled, under consumer protection legislation, to refund the purchase price taking the reduction in value into account.
Handling of uncollected, prepaid parcels
If the customer pays for the order in advance by bank transfer or bank card, but does not collect the product and the courier service returns the parcel to our warehouse, the shipping fee will not be refunded, as the business has already paid this amount to the courier service. In addition, an administration fee of 4 € will be charged for handling uncollected parcels, covering the costs of packaging, shipping and return shipping. We will deduct the shipping fee and the administration fee from the order amount, and refund the remaining balance to the customer. We will inform the customer in advance by email about the non-collection of the parcel and the refund conditions. This procedure is applied on the basis of Section 6:142 of Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code, in view of the principle of compensation for damages arising from breach of contract, as well as Section 11 of Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.) on the detailed rules of contracts between consumers and businesses, and Article 6 of Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, in accordance with our General Terms and Conditions.
Cash on delivery payments and uncollected parcels
If our customer wishes to pay by cash on delivery, the order amount can be paid to the courier or at the collection point. However, if the parcel is not collected and the customer therefore fails to fulfil their payment obligation, we will not pass the incurred costs on to the customer. Due to unfortunate misuse, we apply stricter rules to uncollected cash on delivery parcels.
- Customers who ignore their order without prior notice will only be able to place future orders with advance payment by bank card or bank transfer.
- Customers who wish to pay by bank transfer should email us at info@liaabebe.hu, and we will send the payment instructions.
- It is also possible to make a cash deposit at a bank branch.
Our stricter approach is not justified solely by financial loss: every dispatched parcel requires packaging materials, working time, courier capacity, fuel and energy. Unnecessary strain is contrary to LiaaBébé’s environmentally conscious approach, so we kindly ask our customers for their cooperation and responsible decision-making when placing an order.
Criteria for determining reduction in value
According to Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.), the customer is entitled to try the product, but may not use it beyond what is necessary for normal inspection. When determining any reduction in value, we take the following factors into account:
- Extent of use: If the clothing was worn only for the purpose of trying it on and shows no signs of use, such as washing or damage, the reduction in value is minimal. Repeated use may cause a significant reduction in value.
- Type and extent of damage: Damage to the garment, such as tearing, staining, stretching or removal of the label, increases the reduction in value.
- Missing original packaging: Removal of the original packaging or labels reduces the possibility of reselling the product as new, and therefore increases the reduction in value.
- Market value: We take into account the market price of the garment and its resale potential.
The product must be in its original, undamaged condition. The customer is responsible for any damage resulting from improper handling that may lead to a reduction in value. The seller is obliged to inform the customer of any deductions and their amount.
Return conditions
Faulty or incorrect product
If the product is faulty, or if we have sent a product in the wrong size or colour, we will provide a free exchange. In this case, please contact us at info@liaabebe.com.
Correct but unwanted product
It may happen that your order has been fulfilled correctly, but for some reason the product is not to your liking. In this case, you may also request an exchange of the product, provided that:
- the label on the product has not been removed,
- the product has not been washed.
Please note that washed products unfortunately cannot be resold as new, so they cannot be exchanged. Please only return the product if it meets these conditions.
